Your beautiful tablecloth was stained? Don’t worry. Soléa’s Helpful Hints has the answer! The most important thing is to act quickly. Stains: Since most of our tablecloths are treated with Teflon, it is important to quickly blot the spill with a sponge or paper towel. For our coated cotton tablecloths, simply wipe off the spill. For the other fabrics, here are a couple of suggestions from Soléa: |

| Red wine: sprinkle a bit of salt on the stain and then rinse with soapy water. Lipstick: spread a thin coat of fresh butter over the stain and then scrape and wash with soapy water. Fruit: blot and then wash immediately with boiling water. Coffee, tea, chocolate: put some pure Marseille soap on the stain, rub and then rinse with water mixed with a bit of white vinegar. Candle wax: scrape off excess with a knife then place a piece of tissue paper over the area and iron with a warm iron. Wash and then rinse well. Tomato sauce: remove the excess sauce with a spoon and rinse the fabric with cool water, rubbing gently. Clean the stain with laundry detergent and then wash as you would normally. Decorating Tips: How you decorate your table is crucial to the success of your event! |

Flowers: There is nothing more beautiful than a bouquet of daffodils, dried lilacs, or rose or daisy petals scattered across the tablecloth to brighten up a meal! Lotuses floating in a vase, or a mix of pink and yellow orchids, the possibilities are endless! Use the colours of your tablecloth as a starting point and then let your imagination be your guide. Lighting: Lighting is your most important ally when it comes to creating atmosphere. You can create the perfect ambiance using round or square candles, small or large ones, in a hurricane lamp or on a candelabra, or even floating in a small dish or vase! Let your creativity inspire you. |
Napkin rings: To personalize your décor, there is nothing prettier than napkin rings you make yourself, with satin or velvet for a sophisticated touch, or raffia or flowers for a more natural look. Knife rest: A refined and practical item to avoid stains on your tablecloths. Place cards: For a personal touch at a formal meal, charm your guests with attractive place cards that you can make yourself using your choice of card stock (coloured or textured, or not!) folded in two and placed next to the glasses. It is as easy as that! Napkins: Nothing completes a table better than napkins! They should match the pattern of the tablecloth, but you can use different colours and textures to complement a solid-coloured tablecloth. |
